Coconut
I have a wonderful recipe for almond joy cookies which I make quite frequently. I usually buy my coconut at our local grocery but decided to try Bob's brand. The difference in texture, taste and overall quality was remarkable. Plus, I was buying 7 oz bags at the store and Bob's size - 24 oz - is less expensive per oz. Will buy again.

So much better than the sweetened
This is exactly what I've been looking for. It has a great flavor, is naturally sweet, and works very well in baking, adding to cereal, or even simply a snack.

Thank you for making available no preservative ingredients
I was making my son's German chocolate birthday cake and at the last minute was looking for coconut that didn't have propylene glycol in it. I ordered yours, It didn't get here in time, but I found some (of yours) at a co-op 25 miles away. The cake came out wonderful, and I really appreciate you making pure ingredients available!

Why did you choose this?
Bob's Red Mill Store
We don't drink dairy milk and make coconut milk regularly. I also cook with coconut. Love it!
K H on Apr 12, 2018
Most of the "grocery store" coconut (seems to me) is a by-product after extracting the flavorful and healthful essential oils to make coconut cream and milk products. Their processing renders a rather empty byproduct being sold as shredded "baker's coconut" and it is not tender or succulent but more like tasteless leather. I trust that Bob's product will be a more genuine, less-processed product.
