Quality Assurance Is Our Top Priority
Bob Moore and his wife, Charlee, founded Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods in 1978 with a simple mission of bringing fresh, wholesome food to the world. Today, we’re a 100% employee-owned company, and quality assurance is involved in one way or another in all processes, from development to distribution.
Our Efforts Include:
- Continuous improvement in our food safety programs, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ongoing certification under the globally recognized Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard
- Food safety training for all our employees as part of their new hire orientation, as well as annual re-training
We’ve been third-party certified organic by Quality Assurance International since 2002, to ensure our organic products are grown and produced according to the USDA’s National Organic Program.
Since 2018, more than 240 of our products have been verified with the Non-GMO Project.
Fair Trade USA
Select products are Fair Trade Certified™ as of 2019. This organization empowers farming communities to earn additional funds and invest them where they are most needed.
As a continued commitment to the quality of the products we make and sell, all of Bob’s Red Mill products are certified Kosher by OK Kosher Certification of Brooklyn, New York and KOF-K Kosher Certification of Teaneck, NJ.
Safe Quality Food (SQF)
Since 2018, we have been audited annually by SQF, a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to control and minimize food safety hazards.
What Is SQF?
SQF, or Safe Quality Food, is one of the original standards indorsed by GFSI, the Global Food Safety Initiative. SQF is the only standard that is vertically integrated, creating food safety and quality management system that covers all aspects of the supply chain—from farm to table.
At Bob’s Red Mill, we are proudly third-party audited as meeting the SQF standard, scoring an astounding 98% in 2021.
