Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pecans chopped, toasted
  • 1/3 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Oat Bran Cereal or Organic Oat Bran Cereal
  • 1-1/2 tsp Bread Machine Yeast
  • 1/4 tsp Orange's Zest
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Non-Fat Dry Milk Powder
  • 3/4 cup Mixed Dried Fruit chopped *
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 1-3/4 cups Unbleached White All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar

Instructions

  1. Set Bread Machine on "Sweet Bread" setting. Combine all dry ingredients in bucket of the bread machine, add water, juice, zest, egg and butter. Set machine to beep when it's time to add extra ingredients. Start machine. When machine beeps, add dried fruit and pecans.



    When cooking is completed, remove from machine and bucket and cool on wire rack. Serve when cooled with cream cheese spread. Makes one loaf of bread (13 slices).



    *NOTE: chopped mixed fruit is available at more grocery stores. Prize winning loaf used: peaches, apricots, pears, apples, prunes, and raisins.
