Non-Fat Dry Milk Powder reconstitutes when beaten with a whisk in hot water. Use it for drinking, cooking and baking.

Milk Powder (Non-Fat Dry) reconstitutes when beaten with a whisk in hot water. Use for drinking, cooking, baking, and to add nutrition to baked goods. It increases the keeping qualities and produces a velvety texture in yeast breads. Bob's Red Mill Milk Powder is much more cost effective than instant powdered milk sold in grocery stores.

I bought this online. It was a very pleasant experience and will be doing it again.
I love this powered milk. I sent my husband out to buy instant milk and he came home with this. I thought he had gotten the wrong thing. But I tried it and loved it. It makes my baked goods more tender with a noticeable
difference in the texture and crumb. Now I use it in all my recipes if they call for powdered or liquid milk.

Truly Exceptional
Having tried a variety of brands of dry milk, I'm happy to have finally found the one from Bob's Red Mill. The first plus I noticed was the ease of mixing. The next happy discovery was the incredibly good taste: fresh, full-bodied, far better than any non-fat I've ever tried, even fresh out of the carton. What really sent the ratings off the charts for me, however, was what happened when I finally mixed up a batch in my blender. The foam on top was exactly like that on a cup of cappuccino in a great restaurant or coffee shop. What a delightful surprise, and no need for a specialized milk steamer to produce it. Thank you for coming up with the perfect non-fat dry milk powder. It could easily go toe to toe with anything out there today, even a fresh or full-fat version.

BEST Non-Fat Dry Milk Powder
Have used it for years in my home-made granola. It adds extra protein, along with soy milk powder or soy flour. DEFINITELY improves the consistency of the granola. Instant non-fat dry milk powder from the grocery store does not cut it. The reason I am now ordering direct is because health food stores and Whole Foods no longer carry it!!

How much callories are in 100gr of powder?

A staple product in my kitchen.
Fabulous product. I use it in most of my recipies and breads calling for milk. I mix it with the dry ingredients before adding liquids. For hot drinks, whisk the powder in a little cool water first---it froths nicely. When I travel I bring a few tea bags and a small container of dry milk so I always have my morning cuppa wherever in the world I am.

I want to add it to the milk I drink, to add more calcium.
I bought the dry milk but there are no directions as to how to reconstitute it. What is the ratio of water/milk?

To make 1 cup of milk, use 2-3 Tablespoons NF Milk Powder mixed with one cup of water. The back label states that you can make a quart of milk by mixing 1/2 cup of the Milk Powder to 3 1/2 cups of water. Mix in a blender or with a wire whisk until smooth.

I found a recipe for a sugar free hot chocolate mix that uses milk powder, sweetener, cocoa, and sugar free pudding mix. The pudding mix keeps it from being so watery (like other hot chocolate mixes), and Bob's good milk powder just makes it even "more better!"

I add milk powder to yeast doughs that use white flour, in addition to wheat germ and soy flour, to boost protein power in homemade breads. This non-instantized powder works well in making one's own homemade yogurt without the result being gritty-textured.

I have utilized this product and like it. I'd been wondering what the cost-comparison might be might be vs liquid milk. Am astonished how much less expensive your product would be for me. I did calculations based on # servings in half-gallon of Horizon whole milk vs. 22oz bag, case of 4 bags, and 25# bag. I am on SSA retirement fixed income, do a lot of my own cooking and bread-baking for health benefits more so than cost. I know how I can store the 25# milk powder and use over time.

Can it be used as coffee creamer?
A shopper on Mar 4, 2018
