Non-Fat Dry Milk Powder reconstitutes when beaten with a whist in hot water. Use it for drinking, cooking and baking.

Milk Powder (Non-Fat Dry) reconstitutes when beaten with a whisk in hot water. Use for drinking, cooking, baking, and to add nutrition to baked goods. It increases the keeping qualities and produces a velvety texture in yeast breads. Bob's Red Mill Milk Powder is much more cost effective than instant powdered milk sold in grocery stores.

  1. A staple product in my kitchen.

Fabulous product. I use it in most of my recipies and breads calling for milk. I mix it with the dry ingredients before adding liquids. For hot drinks, whisk the powder in a little cool water first---it froths nicely. When I travel I bring a few tea bags and a small container of dry milk so I always have my morning cuppa wherever in the world I am.

I bought the dry milk but there are no directions as to how to reconstitute it. What is the ratio of water/milk?

To make 1 cup of milk, use 2-3 Tablespoons NF Milk Powder mixed with one cup of water. The back label states that you can make a quart of milk by mixing 1/2 cup of the Milk Powder to 3 1/2 cups of water. Mix in a blender or with a wire whisk until smooth.

I bought this milk powder to make homemade hot cocoa mix. I don't like that almost all hot cocoa mixes have artificial ingredients. I had tried all the store brands of milk powder and my kids just didn't like the cocoa made with those other brands. Bob's Red Mill milk powder is great! My kids actually prefer the hot cocoa I made with this over store bought mixes - success! I do find that you

I've tried quite a few dry powered milks. This is my favorite. It tastes the most like the real thing.
