Classic Snickerdoodle Cookies are always a welcome sight on a cookie platter! Flavored with cinnamon and sugar, these sweet treats are soft and delicious. Recipe courtesy of Chef Billy Parisi.
1/4 cup
Sugar
mixed with 1 tsp Cinnamon in a small bowl
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Add the butter and 2 cups of sugar to a standing mixer with the paddle attachment and mix on high speed until the butter becomes light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes.
Next, add in 1 egg at a time until mixed and then add in the vanilla.
In a separate large bowl whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon until combined.
Turn the speed on the mixer down to low and slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix until completely combined.
Form a 2-tablespoon ball of the cookie dough in your hand and roll it until it is round.
Toss it around in the sugar and cinnamon mixture and then place it on a cookie sheet tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat until all of the dough has been used. It should make 36 one-inch dough balls.
