Bob's Red Mill Organic Kamut® Flour is made from Kamut® Khorasan Wheat, an ancient relative of modern day wheat that has a buttery flavor. Legend says that Kamut® grain came from the time of the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. We carefully stone grind this plump, rich grain into superb baking flour that can be substituted for wheat flour with great success. It is a good source of fiber and is easy to digest.

Kamut® wheat flour is perfect for anyone looking for a whole grain addition to their baked goods. Look through your favorite recipes for ones that call for wheat flour, such as breads, muffins, scones, homemade tortillas, pizza crust, pancakes and crepes. Prepare your recipes as directed, substituting an equal amount of Kamut® wheat flour for the wheat flour called for. The best healthy bread EVER!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a delicious bread for toasting, for sandwiches, or just slathering a slice with softened butter for a before-bed snack. I could only find whole kernals at my local Ocean State Job Lot, so ordered a whole case of 4 here. Have already made 3 loaves in my mother-inlaws breadmaker, using the recipe on the package and everyone loves it. Each package makes about one and a half loaves. Will be ordering another case when I am close to running out.

Love this flour!
Love this flour! I substitute it for about 10-15% of the all-purpose or bread flour in my challah dough. It adds Whole-grain goodness, buttery flavor and color to the bread. I always keep it on hand, and, formerly having a cottage food bakery business, I trust Bob’s Red Mill to delivery purity and quality.

I love it
I use this flour to make bread, bake cookies, and make fried empanadas. I love it. To make it more flexible it is good to mix it with spelt flour especially for empanadas.

Smooth Like Buttah
I add this flour to the bread flour for making sandwich bread and it tastes like butter. A great flavor to bread flour or a combination with spelt and/or whole wheat if you're looking to jazz up the flavor of that whole grain goodness. Ancient grains still have a place in modern recipes.

No-Knead Bread by Mark Bittman
We had a lot of fun making this no-knead bread. Made it in two days since we had some crab catching to do in between steps. It's a great way to have a hard crust healthy bread. We couldn't wait the 1/2 hour to cool because we had some crab to eat with that melted butter.
No Knead Bread - Mark Bittman, NY Times - Kamut & ProBiotein
Lightly dusting the dough after folding in the sides like an envelope.
After the 18 hours, we buttered a bowl and dusted it with corn meal and let it set for 15 minutes.
1 C of Organic whole wheat Kamut® flour, 2 C of Italian flour  and 2 T of ProBiotein®.

Rises less...who cares?!
Buttery and dense, makes the best biscuits! Use as much as you like! Yes, your breads will be dense, but this is so healthy, so satisfying. My kids are addicted to it and want no other flours or breads. It is an ancient grain and must be cooked and eaten the 'ancient way'. Delicious.

Lives up to its hype and then some
I stopped baking years ago because I felt awful after eating wheat products: White flour, whole-wheat, didn't matter. After hearing a lecture by Bob Quinn, the founder of Kamut, I decided to try this ancient form of wheat. What a life changer! The hot kamut cereal is a hit with my husband, and I just finished my first loaf of banana bread made with the flour. I think the texture is lighter than regular whole wheat, and the color is more golden than brown. I'm very happy and can't wait to try it out on some more of my old recipes. Next up: homemade samosas!

I cannot get this flour locally and I love the bread this product makes. I use the recipe on the back of the Kamut flour with my bread machine and it is the best bread for toasting... with a nutty flavor and a wonderful "bite" to it.

I discovered Kamut bread at Stop & Shop. It was wonderful and I was hooked on it. Then they stopped carrying it and I couldn't find it anywhere else. So with this I will try to make my own.

I ordered this because I have a new Zojirushi bread maker. I am working on a super bread formula and have a spreadsheet, that I made up, with all the ingredients. I chose Kamut flour as one of the components (There are 4 flours in test mix). It is high protein and has a great flavor. I am looking forward to have a test loaf by Friday of this week. I like the products you have and cannot find this product here in Phoenix. Thanks for making this product.

I ordered this item some time back in a 25 lb bag and LOVED it, however you then stopped selling it in bulk. I tried another company that sold the Kamut in bulk but it was really grainy. So I'm back, even though the price is higher due to small cases its still the BEST around.
