From cauliflower pizza crusts to zoodles, lets dive in and take a closer look at some tasty low carb alternatives!
Pizza
When it comes to low carb diets, its natural to fear that you might have to give up pizza since its definitely high in carbs! But the great news is, you dont! With creative options like mushrooms and eggplant, you can still enjoy the taste of pizza while maintaining your low carb lifestyle at the same time.
Portobello Mushroom Crust
We love the idea of mushroom caps in place of traditional pizza crust. This recipe for Portobello Mushroom Mini Pizzas from Keto Cooking Christian is both keto and low carb. The mushroom caps replace the crust and are then topped with homemade pizza sauce, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. The texture of the mushrooms works beautifully to soak in all the best pizza flavors. All you need for the ultimate evening are some Italian tunes and good company! Fresh basil from the garden is a welcomed addition, too.
Eggplant Crust
If youre a fan of eggplant parmesan, youll love this variation of pizza crust. In this recipe for Mediterranean Eggplant Pizza Crust from Ripped Recipes, the author utilizes a bunch of wholesome ingredients to create his crust. Along with eggplant, he integrates Bob's Red Mill Flaxseed Meal, Bob's Red Mill Organic High Fiber Coconut Flour and Bob's Red Mill Guar Gum to create his crust, along with egg, basil and sea salt. After the crunchy crust bakes, he tops his eggplant slices with cooked spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. This is an amazing recipe for all the pizza and eggplant lovers out there. Enjoy!

If big bowls of piping hot pasta are one of your favorite things in the entire world, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. Because as it turns out, there are lots of alternatives to traditional carb-filled pasta. Replace your pasta with vegetables and youre in for a healthier treat.
Spaghetti Squash
One of the popular options when it comes to low carb pasta alternatives is to replace your pasta with spaghetti squash. True to its name, this special yellow squash has insides that resemble (you guessed it!) spaghetti. For a dairy free, gluten free, low carb dinner, Fufus Kitchen knocks it out of the park with this recipe for Spaghetti Squash with Meatballs & Vegan / Gluten Free Bechamel Sauce. This creamy sauce comes complete with beef meatballs for a well-rounded dinner dish. This is great for a weeknight meal that will keep the whole family full and happy (while still steering clear of those pesky carbs).
Zoodles
Zoodles (or zucchini noodles) are another delicious and nutritious alternative to pasta. Not only do they add a nice vibrant hue of green to your bowl, but they also taste really, really good. As an added bonus, they make you feel good, too! This Low Carb Jambalaya Recipe from Carb Manager is inspired by traditional jambalaya but has been altered to create a creamy pasta loaded with both sausage and shrimp. She makes her noodles with ribbons of zucchini and if you like spice, then this is the recipe for you! You can even make a bigger batch and have leftovers to enjoy the following day for lunch.

Zucchini Bake
If you ditch the typical lasagna noodles and replace them with zucchini, youll have a wonderful base for a classic lasagna. This recipe for Caprese Quinoa and Spiralized Zucchini Bake from Inspiralized takes things a step further and gets very creative with our Bobs Red Mill Quinoa. In addition to quinoa, blogger Ali uses zucchini, minced garlic, cannellini beans, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and olive oil to make a delightful and wholesome bake. We love that this dish can be made and eaten throughout the week as the flavors begin to set. This is definitely a good recipe to keep on hand for meal planning, which makes healthy eating a breeze.
Classic Lasagna
As it turns out, thanks to our friend Peace, Love and Low Carb, you can actually make the real deal (just in a low carb way). This recipe for Just Like the Real Thing Low Carb Keto Lasagna is made with homemade low carb noodles. The noodles are a magical mix of eggs, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder. Though they take a little bit of time to put together, the end result is very worth it. In fact, author Kyndra notes that when she served these noodles her husband, he couldnt even tell the difference! She fills her lasagna with marinara sauce, ground beef, mozzarella cheese and whole milk ricotta (in addition to a bunch of tasty herbs) for a gooey and glorious end result.
