Road trip season has arrived! Whether youre taking a day trip to the beach or a multi-day trip across the country you need to have healthy snacks with you to fuel your ride. Ive put together a collection of road trip snack you can use when planning your next trip.

My Favorite Road Trip Snacks

Everything Crackers These Everything Crackers are made from a base of Flaxseed Meal. Add 2 cups of Flaxseed Meal (brown or golden, either works!) and your favorite everything bagel spicesgarlic, onion, poppy seeds, and sesame seedsand bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy. Allow crackers to fully cool before storing; they will keep in an airtight container for about 3 days. Whole Grain Cereal Bars Make a batch of these bars before you leave and youll be all set for that early morning start. These bars combine our 5 Grain Rolled Cereal and Scottish Oatmeal for a hearty snack. Add chocolate chips and cranberries for a touch of sweetness. After baking cut into portions and separate with pieces of parchment paper to prevent sticking. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls This recipe is super easy to put together - just 5 ingredients. Mix our Vanilla Protein Powder, maple syrup, chocolate chips, Flaxseed Meal and your choice of nut butter to bind. Portion into balls and keep close by to fend off those sweet cravings. These are a popular choice among our young readersa perfect balance of healthy protein with a touch of sweetness. Ham and Asparagus Quiche Cups These gluten free quiche cups are super easy to customize. This version has ham and asparagus but you could sub in your favorite ingredients instead. Make the waffles in your waffle iron a day or so before and cut into small individual portions (this may vary depending on your waffle iron.) Waffles are perfect to snack on plain or as a peanut butter sandwich! They are kid-friendly and easy for little ones to manage on their own. This recipe is only 5 ingredients, but I might add two morevanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon! Customizable Oatmeal Muffins Another make-ahead option. To get in a healthy serving of Quick Cooking Rolled Oats, make a batch of these oatmeal muffins! Use a basis of oats with mashed banana, applesauce, or pumpkin puree and add in your favorite toppings. If you have multiple passengers you could have a raspberry, chocolate chip, or nut and seed option. There are endless combinations with this recipe! Nooch (Nutritional Yeast) Crackers These crackers are gluten free, vegan, paleo, and DELICIOUS! If you love Nutritional Yeast and its nutty, cheesy flavor you need to make these crackers! I like to nibble on them plain but you could also eat them with some cherry tomatoes and guacamole for a more filling snack! Super Snacking Popcorn Mix together popped Yellow Popcorn, toasted pecans, pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, coconut, and a little melted coconut oil and maple syrup. Toast it all together in the oven to marry the flavors. Pass around a big bag in the car or portion into individual snack bags. Alegria These sweet bars might be the best new way to try the ancient grain, Amaranth! Mix together popped amaranth pumpkin seeds, sugar, and molasses and spread into pan.
