Soaking the grains overnight will reduce cooking time. Alternately, cook a big batch on the weekend and freeze in small, usable portions for quick preparation on a weeknight. - FINALLY TRIED KAMUT - IT'S GOOD
- I wanted an alternate grain to use due to concerns about arsenic in brown rice. I cooked a test batch of kamut in a rice cooker, on the brown rice setting. It worked, it's good, will use for any dish that I would normally use rice for. At first I wasn't interested because of the long cooking time, but with a rice cooker that problem is solved!

- Kamut is the tastiest grain, with the best texture, and one of the healthiest. I simmer mine for an hour and a half, I find that to be the easiest on my digestion. My favorite breakfast is sauteing some turmeric root powder, cinnamon powder, and cardamom powder in ghee, and pouring it over my kamut. Go grains!

- What a marvellous discovery Kamut Berries were for me! On their own they have a fine flavour, and being a bit of a larger grain they work a treat when cooked up, cooled and added to salads or even done in a fried rice style or Moroccan pilaf. But my personal favourite is in a mix with an equal part of hull-less barley and twice that amount of brown rice, cooked in just water in a rice cooker, fluf
