Whole Wheat Flour is 100% stone ground from U.S.-grown hard red wheat. Nothing is lost in the process of grinding the flour‚ one pound of wholesome whole wheat berries go into the mill, and one pound of nutritious whole wheat flour comes out. The bran, germ and endosperm of the wheat kernel are all included. Our Whole Wheat Flour is an excellent source of dietary fiber and provides 6 grams of protein per serving.

This flour has a high protein content which makes it a terrific choice for all manner of hearty whole grain breads, including nutritious sandwich loaves, rustic rolls, whole wheat hamburger buns, bagels, pretzels and flatbreads. You can also use Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour for whole grain treats such as muffins, quick breads, cookies and bars. Great whole wheat flour!
My son refuses to try whole grain bread, that was until I made a loaf using 1 and 1/2 cups whole wheat flour from Bob’s combined with 2 & 1/2 cups of Bob’s bread flour. Using a no knead method and adding 18 ounces of water, two tablespoons of olive oil and 1&1/2 teaspoons of instant yeast and 1&1/2 teaspoons of salt. Letting it rise for 3 hours and baking in a covered Baker for 30 minutes at 400 degrees covered and 10 minutes uncovered well you be the judge. This my own modified recipe....hope you like it!

Whole Wheat Flour
I have tried making whole wheat bread with several other flours and find that Bob's is the best for a heavy and porous loaf that I like. My wife likes it too. I also use th same recipe for my empanadas which I bake regularly.

BEST ANSWER: Without a doubt. Just be aware it will need a little more water since the bran needs to be hydrated. It's difficult at first to be able to judge exactly how much more water you should use, but after a few times working with the whole grain flour you will develop a good feel for it.
