I would buy this product again
This is my first use of the product. I followed the recipe on the back of the package for rosemary cheese biscuits substituting powdered sweetener for the listed sweetener which I did not have.. I also added about a tablespoon of snipped chives. I baked them as mini scones in my mini pan. They smelt yummy during baking (garlic, herbs and cheese) They did not rise much but were flavorful and tasty, when sliced open and spread with butter. They were intended for breakfasts e.g with boiled eggs. Hubby who hates beans.. Approved!

Saviour Mix!
I was looking for a toast substitute for breakfast. New to the wheat free lifestyle I needed something fast and that was readily available to me. I dislike the wheat free pre-made breads on the market so decided to try this mix.
Using the mix {ingredients} as suggested produced a decent alternative for my breakfast, with jam and butter. I didn't like the flavour of the plain biscuit. So I experimented and came up with a winning biscuit. In place of shortening I use coconut oil {same amt.}, I use unsweetened shredded coconut in place of 1/2 cup of the mix, 1/2 tsp coconut extract and unsweetened almond milk. These turned out amazing! I am so pleased! These need no butter or jam!

Very east to use and great taste!
This mix makes excellent biscuits and fruit/nut loaves. Very easy to work with and quick baking times. Review by Rico - aka - BA / (Posted on 7/24/2012)
Allways have it on hand.
I use it for pancakes and blueberry muffins. My husband loves the pancakes. Makes baking gluten free so much easier. Review by Cindy Lou / (Posted on 10/22/2011)
Very good biscuits
I've used the biscuit mix before for pancakes & quick breads with excellent results but today is the first time I baked biscuits with it. I am a biscuit connoisseur with strong Southern roots and these biscuits were very good. The flaky texture was perfect, soft layers inside, slightly crunchy outside. The flavor is not the same as wheat flour but that's to be expected, and I'm open to new flavors. Dough was very easy to handle, I didn't even need to flour the board. Instead of using a pastry cutter, I tried the method where you freeze the butter and grate it in with a cheese grater. Review by North Bay Baker / (Posted on 9/27/2011)
allergy friendly
I like the simple orange cranberry bread recipe on pkg. I added chocolate chips to mine. Great texture and flavor. I am also glad to have finally found a gluten free without potato, soy. That tastes good anyway. Can't wait to try the other recipes, it is so easy to work with. Great Scones
This product makes the best gluten-free scones. When I use Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Biscuit Mix my scones turn out perfect and taste great. I've tried making them with other GF flour mixes but they always flop. I am so glad to have found this product. Review by Terry / (Posted on 5/31/2011)
Not just for biscuits anymore!
With two children with allergies to gluten, dairy, and soy, I find myself cooking everything at home. One of my children's favorite meals is fried chicken nuggets, but no matter what I tried to use as breading, it turned out greasy. Also, no one would eat the leftovers. :(

Not so with Bob's biscuit mix. I wouldn't have thought of using it to batter chicken, except that I was low on pantry supplies. It fried up golden brown AND it didn't hold the grease like everything else I tried. That's got to be healthier for the kids.

As an added bonus, I put a leftover piece in the toaster oven the next day and it was just as good as it had been the night before! Finally, I can make chicken nuggets and send them in school lunch bags!

Thank you, Bob! You rock! Review by Missy / (Posted on 2/7/2011)
Don't want to be without
I have been gluten free for nearly 20 years. I try to keep abreast of new products out there so I can help those who have been recently diagnosed and because products just keep improving. But with all the mixes I have tried the pancakes I make with this mix are beyond compare. My picky 14 year old won't even eat regular pancakes, but she loves these. I recommend Bob's products all the time and this is one I don't want to be without. Review by Thrifty Granny / (Posted on 2/7/2011)

Warning: Contains Garbanzo Bean Flour!
I was so excited about finding a gluten free biscuit mix at the grocery store, I didn't even think to read the label, although that wouldn't have stopped me from purchasing it had I read it first. Apparently garbanzo bean flour gives many people gas. Gas that, in my case strongly resembled the symptoms I experience when I have accidentally consumed gluten :( This is the first gf mix (of any kind!) Review by Kristin / (Posted on 10/21/2010)
Delicious
I tried the Cranberry Orange Bread recipe on the back label. Came out delicious. For the second half of the bag I replaced the orange juice with apple juice and the cranberries with raisins. Baked a loaf yesterday afternoon. Tastes wonderful. I read some reviews about adding some egg whites for more lift but the basic instructions are perfectly acceptable. Very versitile and yummy!
My son has only been GF for a few weeks. Have used this mix for biscuits & gravy, nectarine crisp (by adding raw sugar, oats, and butter to the mix for a topping to fresh nectarines), and fry bread. It's a hit with the entire family! I usually prepare food from scratch but until we get accustomed to baking gluten-free it is nice to have a quality mix. Review by Aunt Yucky / (Posted on 9/3/2010)
Great for baking, bad for biscuits
This is a great mix for baking uses, but both times I used the recipe on the back for the biscuits they were not very good. They were very grainy and had an odd height and texture. Review by GF me / (Posted on 8/18/2010)
Great recipe!
The recipe for Orange Cranberry Bread on the package of the Biscuit and Baking Mix is wonderful. I am recently gluten-free, and I've been trying a lot of baking recipes with wheat/flour alternatives. This is the best recipe I've found. It's a bit hit even with people who eat gluten. Review by Jen / (Posted on 8/11/2010)
Great Baking Mix
While shopping in a store that I was unfamiliar with, I wasn't able to find the standard baking mix. I purchased this instead and when I used it for quick breads, cakes etc... it actually was better than the baking mix. Glad I had a snag! Review by Michelle / (Posted on 6/28/2010)
