Quinoa Sliders

These delicious quinoa sliders from Chef Billy Parisi are perfect for entertaining. Make a batch and offer your guests a spread of different toppings. These sliders are so easy to customize which makes them perfect for accommodating many different types of eaters. Ingredients

  • 4 cups Organic Quinoa Grain cooked, see notes
  • 5 Large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 Onion Yellow or Red, peeled and small diced
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions sliced
  • 2 Cloves Garlic finely minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Avocado Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the cooked quinoa, eggs, bread crumbs, onion, green onions, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper until completely combined.
  3. Next, form 16-20 small patties and set aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over high until it begins to lightly smoke. Turn the heat down to medium and add add the quinoa sliders and cook until browned on each side, 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the browned sliders to a sheet tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked throughout.
  6. Serve the sliders with favorite toppings and bread: brioche buns, pretzel buns, Kaiser buns, sliced Roma tomatoes, green leaf lettuce, caramelized onions, crisp cooked bacon, assorted cheeses, buffalo sauce, ranch, mustard, etc.
