Milk Chocolate Toffee Blondies

Milk Chocolate Toffee Blondies

This recipe is special to my family because it is the first thing I taught my daughter how to bake!  Lots of fun memories of her standing on a chair at the kitchen counter, licking her fingers every time she thought I wasn’t looking ?  Recipe courtesy of Brandi Burgess from Aunt Bee's Recipes.

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat; add both sugars and whisk constantly until combined and sugar is melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly for 5 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Next, in a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract until combined. Slowly drizzle in the butter and sugar while whisking constantly. Then add the flour and whisk until just incorporated. Do not over mix. Lastly, fold in the Heath bar bits.
  4. Pour mixture in a cooking sprayed 8×8 casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until done. Allow to cool completely before slicing. Enjoy!
