Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola

If you love peanut butter with your chocolate as much as I do, this is a granola I know you are going to love. Like pretty much everything else, homemade granola is so much better than store bought, and making granola at home is fast and easy. Ingredients

  • 3 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats old fashioned or gluten free
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Add cocoa powder and salt to oats.
  3. In a small saucepan combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, coconut oil and maple syrup.
  4. Warm over med-low heat just until the peanut butter becomes smooth.
  5. Stir in vanilla, and pour peanut butter mixture over the oats. Mix well.
  6. Spread oats on a lined baking sheet (use either parchment or a silpat mat).
  7. Bake granola for 30 minutes stirring at least twice to prevent burning while it bakes.
  8. Cool completely before storing in a airtight container.
