Chia Cranberry Sauce

Chia seeds add soluble fiber and help the sauce gel in this unique twist on a holiday classic. This Chia Cranberry Sauce is both easy to make and delicious. It's sure to be a hit at any holiday table.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Cranberries fresh or frozen, reserve 1/2 cup and set aside
  • 3/4 cup Cane Sugar
  • 1 tsp Orange Zest
  • 2 Tbsp Water
  • 2 Tbsp Organic Chia Seed

Instructions

  1. Place cranberries (minus reserved 1/2 cup), sugar, orange zest and water in a small pot. Cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves, about 10 minutes.
  2. Increase heat to medium, add the chia seeds and cook until the berries burst, about another 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add the remaining berries. Let cool slightly; serve at any temperature.
