Blueberry Chia Jam

This refrigerator jam takes advantage of the gelling quality of chia seed, using it as a nutrient-rich substitute for pectin. This recipe can be found on our bags of Chia Seed.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Blueberries (fresh)
  • 1/4 cup Agave Nectar
  • 1/4 cup Organic Chia Seed
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Combine berries and agave in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until berries begin to soften and burst, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add chia seeds and cook until very thick, about 15 minutes. Stir often.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool then add vanilla extract. Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
