Organic Corn Flour is 100% stone ground and whole grain, including all of the bran, germ and endosperm. It is wonderfully flavorful and produces a cornbread that is richer and less crumbly than one made with cornmeal.

Bob's Red Mill finely ground Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour is great for breading and in combination with other flours in baked goods. We mill our Whole Grain Corn Flour from whole yellow corn kernels with all the natural nutrients intact—the germ, bran and endosperm. Because our Organic Corn Flour is whole grain and high in fiber, it digests slowly, making you feel fuller longer and helping supply your body with a steady stream of energy. Add our Organic Whole Grain Corn Flour to your favorite pancake, biscuit or bread recipe for added flavor and nutrition. Try making your favorite cornbread recipe with part or all corn flour instead of cornmeal. Your cornbread will be richer and less crumbly when made this way.

I use this to make my own fish fry coating it's not as dense as WHEAT FLOUR and the light breading keeps them fish from sticking to the pan. the flavor of "toasted corn" is so yummy!

For about 15 years, on a weekly basis, I have been making homemade gluten-free cornbread using Bob's Red Mill's organic whole grain corn flour and a lesser amount of Bob's Red Mill organic medium grind corn meal--with no potato starch or tapioca flour added. Not everyone likes it, but my family likes it as much as I do....

I make a hot polenta cereal with this, seasoned with nutmeg, vanilla and sea salt, sweetened lightly with honey. Very tasty.
Noelia S on Dec 12, 2017
Cornbread made with this meal/flour has a deeper, richer flavor. It is moist and not as crumbly as if it was made with ordinary supermarket brands. Whole grain cornmeal should be kept cool to keep it from getting stale, especially if it is kept for a fair amount of time in warm climates. After opening, I keep mine in the refrigerator.

I use corn flour for thickening sauces, etc. Is it suitable for that? Always before the corn flour that I have bought is white, but this is yellow, so perhaps it is a different product? Thanks - David
A shopper on Dec 7, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This should work for thickening your sauces too. We don't bleach our corn flour. It's the natural color.
Is the corn flour non gmo?
