These pretty little egg tarts are both cute and delicious and make a perfect brunch or breakfast with your favorite someone. Dont panic, but you will need to be a little creative and get 6-8 removable bottom mini tart pans to make these. Make sure they are for 4-inch tarts and make sure you also have a sheet tray and pastry cutter before getting started. We promise, its not as scary as it sounds!Once you have your tools, you can get busy cooking. For this recipe, we use whole wheat flour to make the crust. The filling is made up of tasty ingredients like eggs, fresh spinach, diced mushrooms and yellow onion. You can use shallots instead of yellow onion if you prefer, and the mushrooms can be any kind that you like best. You can season these little beauties to taste with salt and pepper and any other spices you like.Once youve baked the tart shells and prepared your filling, just bake them a little longer, then garnish with extra yumminess like crumbled, fried bacon, grated Parmesan and a sprig of fresh thyme if youd like. Serve them up and be prepared for your sweetheart to swoon at your feet. Or at least give you a really grateful kiss.
If you really want to impress your lover, try making these amazingly flavorful souffl pancakes. They are quick and easy to make, and they are quite healthy for a pancake thanks to the fiber and essential aminos found in our Organic Buckwheat Flour. We also use Unbleached White All Purpose Flour, baking powder and cream of tartar combined with milk and egg whites to make these babies.Sugar, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, butter and vanilla all give these the desired sweetness we all know and love in a great pancake, and homemade miso maple syrup tops them off. To make the syrup, you just mix white miso paste with maple syrup (Grade B) in a small pan and heat it until the syrup is nice and hot. Pour over your freshly made pancakes, serve and enjoy!
Sometimes a more traditional pancake isnt what you want. When that happens, why not try these healthy chocolate protein pancakes? Plus, these pancakes are dairy and gluten free, making them a winner for loved ones with special dietary considerations. These pancakes are so fluffy and light, you wont realize how good for you they really are.
