Ingredients

  • 2 cups Steel Cut Oats or Organic Steel Cut Oats
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 2-1/2 cups Milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flaxseed Meal
  • 2 Eggs (optional: you can use an egg substitute or more flax seeds)

Instructions

  1. Combine steel cut oats, yoghurt and milk and soak these together in a blender overnight.
  2. Add salt, cinnamon, baking powder, brown sugar, butter, ground flax seed and eggs or egg substitute to oat mixture. Blend together until smooth. A high quality blender is needed or you can divide the batter in half and blend one half at a time.
  3. Cook in a waffle iron. Top with favorite toppings. Enjoy!



    Serves 8.
