Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Whole Caraway Seeds crushed
  • 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter melted or Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Honey
  • 2 cups Light Rye Flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°. Grease and flour a cookie sheet or large baking pan, set aside.



    In a small mixing bowl blend the honey, milk and melted butter (or vegetable oil if using).



    In another bowl combine the rye flour, caraway seeds, sea salt and baking powder. Stir well.



    Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until smooth dough forms. Place the dough on the pan, flour your hands and pat it into a large circle or square 1/2 inch thick. Prick the dough with a fork many times. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.



    Makes about 8 slices.
