Organic White Rice Flour is 100% stone ground from premium white rice. An essential for gluten free baked goods.


The refined version of organic brown rice flour, organic white rice flour can be used interchangeably with brown rice flour. The second largest world crop, rice is a staple food in Asia where, unlike most grains, it is grown on small paddies and harvested by hand, just as it has been for centuries. Our white rice flour is stone ground from premium California white rice. It is lighter, milder and easier to digest than wheat flour. Some people find white rice flour to be slightly gritty, but many find it preferable to bean flours.

White rice flour is naturally gluten-free, rich in carbohydrates and low in fat. White rice flour can be used to bake cakes, cookies, dumplings, breads and more, as well as thicken sauces and coat fish and other proteins.     My original Scottish shortbread recipe calls for 1/3 rice flour to 2/3's regular flour. I have been making this for years. The rice flour gives it a more tender crust. Make shortbread for the holidays yearly.

    I use this instead of white flour when cooking for my gluten free son. I use it to make riblets for potato soup. We all eat it. You can not tell its not white flour.

    This rice flour is GREAT. Makes great coatings for meats. My grandson is allergic to wheats and corn products and had his first pancake made from rice flour, he loved it. He's 14 yrs old....Thanks.
