Works well, but made in a facility with tree nuts and soy...
this works great in my pancakes and cookie recipes, however it does have a cross contamination statement for tree nuts and soy. We have a family member who has nut allergies and egg allergies and therefore can't use this product. Would be great if Bob's would major this in an allergen free facility or at least nut free.

This is a wonderful product That I use in my small boutique bakery. I use it in lieu of eggs for clients who have allergies, or who are vegan, it even works if you need to use it as an egg white Replacer.

I love Bob's Red Mill! Every product I've worked with from them has been amazing.. except this one. It's great for pancakes, oatmeal cookies... anything that is supposed to be heavy. Because that's what it does - it makes everything heavy. Bread, cake, you name it. So not a horrible product but definitely has to be used in the appropriate way for it to work. Meaning, it is not a direct replacement. You may have to adjust for the weight of the product with the volume and other ingredients.

Terrible - don't bother!
I was SO excited to use this product to veganize a family Bundt cake recipe. Imagine my terrific disappointment when the cake came out flat - it barely rose, and couldn't sustain what rise it had.

The eggs were the only swap; this wasn't an issue of using the wrong butter/milk substitute... likewise, this is a time-tested recipe, and I'm a pretty experienced baker... it is clear that this crummy product was the culprit.

I am so disappointed. Save your money, don't bother.

This product is okay but for my taste too salty. When I use it as suggested, I have lack luster results. If buying this, it is better to not follow directions.

I saw this in a recipe on Sarah Bakes Gluten Free. It is perfect for vegans and when you are just out of eggs and want to bake something.

Disappointed in sodium content
I was very disappointed in the strong flavor of salt and baking soda that came through with this product. I used it in my own pumpkin pancake recipe and for me it ruined them since I limit sodium intake and therefore I detect salt very easily. There should at least be a note on the package to say you may need to cut other salt in a recipe to adjust for that. Perhaps it is good in conventional cakes and cookies using refined sugars, as that may cover up the flavor of the egg replacer. But if you are also making recipes using very little sugar and relying on the sweetness of other ingredients, this will affect flavor negatively, in my opinion.

I have been using this egg replacer for several yrs now. It is made of vegan ingredients & non-gmo. It is easy to use, mixes perfectly with a fork & you add nothing but water. You don't have to make a separate trip to the store to get bananas, etc to replace eggs in your baking. Even my nonvegetarian husband enjoys it with no complaints! You will have no complaints.

I use this egg replacer in many recipes. This is my second purchase. It is great in the almond butter cookies; gives the cookies a "pecan sandy-like texture". It also works as a thickener for gravy, soups, etc.

BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried it in a loaf like this but I imagine it would work. It performs very similarly to flax eggs. It's not sweetened so it would be fine with savory dishes, flavor-wise.
