A Proud Leader in Gluten Free

For us, it started in the early 1980s, when the Gluten Intolerance Group first asked us if we could separate out gluten free grains. Gluten free diets weren’t mainstream back then, nor were gluten free foods. However, our core value has always been that everyone should have access to whole grain nutrition, and that was the driving motivation behind our expansion into gluten free products.

Today, we have a separate 58,200 square foot gluten free facility, with one of the most stringent testing protocols in the country. To assure the integrity of our gluten free products, we batch test in our quality control laboratory using an ELISA Gluten Assay test.

As of 2019, we also offer some products that are certified gluten free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization, a branch of the Gluten Intolerance Group. You can identify these select products by the GFCO logo on the product packages. Other Bob’s Red Mill gluten free products continue to be tested and confirmed gluten free per our strict gluten free protocols. You can identify these products by the red GF logo and the gluten free testing statement on the product packages.

Gluten Free Nutrition

While we wholeheartedly believe in the power of traditional whole grains like wheat and rye, many alternative flours have a lot of nutrition to offer. For example, our nut flours, such as almond or hazelnut, are lower in carbohydrates than traditional flours. Our Gluten Free Oat Flour is a good source of fiber and iron. And, of course, we love the flavors and textures they lend to so many dishes!

We’re constantly looking for new ways to help people enjoy simple and authentic whole grain foods, so it’s no wonder we have over 400 items in our array of natural, organic and gluten free products.

Inside Our Gluten Free Facility

Inside Bob’s Red Mill dedicated gluten free facility, our team of electricians and mechanics work to make things run smoothly, while our shop team continues to do amazing built-from-scratch work. Whether it’s placing our automated 25-pound bulk bag packaging line into production or bringing to life the newest gluten free mixer, the Bob’s Red Mill crew works hard to give you quality gluten free products.

Our gluten free facility is equipped with its own mixers, mills, high speed packaging line and specially designed machines for packing single-serving Gluten Free Oatmeal Cups. Each of these machines runs and is made possible thanks to our team of employee owners, who work 24/7 to get you the gluten free products you know and love.
