Spring Cookie Decorating {Giveaway!}

Spring Cookie Decorating {Giveaway!}

We are so excited its finally spring. We live in the Pacific Northwest so of course we expect a rainy winter, but we did not sign up for what we got this season: a years worth of rain in just five relentless months! Monday marked the first day of spring, and we decided to share our joy with you by offering a giveaway of everything you need to make fun spring cookies! I got together with Amber from our Customer Service team (have you ever called us? Maybe youve met her!) and had a really fun cookie-fest, resulting in the beautiful (if I do say so myself) spread below. Our Food Innovation Chef Sarah House, created this rockstar sugar cookie recipe using our Gluten Free 1-to-1 Baking Flour. We highly recommend this recipe for tasty treats that no one will suspect are gluten free! How about our icing? We used a really basic royal icing recipe because its super easy: just egg whites, powdered sugar, and a splash of vanilla extract. We added lots of extra powdered sugar since we wanted the icing to hold its shape, and when we made the tan-colored frosting we added even more powdered sugar since we wanted it to be stiff enough to show the basket details: Another great option for hand-decorating cookies is buttercream frosting. Want to know how to make the basket above? WatchAmber show you how! She used tip #47 for the basket, #14 for the basket trim, #233 for the grass, and we recommend #2 for the eggs.
