Brown Sugar Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

Oatmeal Cookie Eager to whip up a plate full of cookies that is better than all of your previous batches combined? Follow the steps below to create chewy and delicious brown sugar oatmeal cookies. Ingredients Instructions
  1. Begin by pulsing or chopping the oats. To do so, place our Old Fashioned Rolled Oats into a blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade and pulse the oats 3-5 times until they are of their original size. If a food processor is not available, oats may also be chopped by hand using a knife and cutting board.
  2. Next, line two baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375 F.
  3. Combine cinnamon, flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
  4. In a larger mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until it's smooth and creamya process that will take 3-5 minutes.
  5. Once the above ingredients have been mixed, add eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and blend until smooth.
  6. Then, add the flour mixture and blend briefly before adding oats, raisins, or chocolate chips. Mix until the add-ins are evenly distributed.
  7. Using a large spoon, portion out the doughabout 2 tablespoons per cookieonto the baking sheet. Leave 2 inches between each cookie and bake until the edges have browned and the center is set, about 9-12 minutes.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool for 10 minutes before removing them from the baking sheet and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Enjoy the cookies the day of and store any leftovers in an airtight container.
