Gluten Free Extra Thick Rolled Oats are kiln-toasted and delightfully chewy, producing a satisfying European-style breakfast porridge. They are processed in our dedicated gluten free facility and are tested to confirm their purity.

At last, oats that people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance can enjoy, too! Each farm delivery we receive is sampled hundreds of times and tested with an R5 ELISA gluten test to ensure the absence of gluten. Advanced color-sorting removes undetected impurities. Finally, the oats are packaged in our 100% gluten free facility and tested for gluten again to ensure their purity. Thick Rolled Oats (and we mean nice and extra thick!) are uniquely "Kiln Toasted." These extra chewy oats produce extremely satisfying robust European-style cereal and yeast breads.

Oats as we know them today originate from the wild red oat, a plant with origins in Asia. Originally cultivated for medicinal purposes, they were used as animal feed for a long time before humans deemed them fit for consumption. Oats helped fuel the civil wars in Scotland and have deep roots in Great Britain, Germany and Scandinavia.

Today oats are widely accepted as nutritional powerhouses for dietary fiber and protein. Oats contain a special type of fiber that is especially good for the reduction of cholesterol called beta-glucan. Beta-glucans also aid in the support of the immune system and can help regulate blood sugar. They are also wonderful for soothing irritated skin when used in baths.

I made overnight oats with these that were so superior to anything I'd used before that I will only use these from now on. They also make excellent traditional hot oatmeal, with great texture.

Does take a and extra 7 to 8 minutes to cook but is well worth it!! Love the extra thick gluten free oats.

Not Recommended
Oats are okay, but it takes a long time to get them, and customer service is horrible.

Part of my order was sent out the day after ordering and part was held back for several days before shipping. When I inquired, it took several emails to get a response, and then my complaint was brushed off with apparently no investigation into the cause of the delay.

There are several other brands of gluten-free oats available; I recommend ordering from a company that values customer service.

Wonderful texture, quick to make.
Love, love, love these oats! In response to someone's less positive comment - these oats are not meant to be cooked in the microwave. Take the 15 minutes it takes to cook these by the instructions on the package and experience oatmeal bliss! I make a large batch and put the leftovers in the fridge for quick breakfasts in subsequent days. Add a bit of milk if the oats have thickened in the fridge and warm up in the microwave.

Best oatmeal ever!
My husband and I especially enjoy these thick cut oats. Though softened, they are a bit chewier than the regular, thin cut oats. Preparing them the 'old fashion' way, on top of the stove, allows us to cook them to our version of perfection. It is an enjoyable part of our morning, and after all, it's about the journey, isn't it? We find them very satisfying, and often add chia and hemp seed, along with raw honey.

Staple of my mornings
I love this product! Never thought a vegan oatmeal would be soo tasty, cooks in about 15 min over medium heat, the consistency is always spot on. I've enjoyed this with fresh fruit and naked with just a lil' drizzle of agave.
