Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup TVP® (Textured Vegetable Protein)
  • 1/2 cup Boiling Water
  • 2 Tbsp Onion grated
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 2 Tbsp Black Bean Flour
  • 3/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper finely minced
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked Long Grain Brown Rice
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Mix textured vegetable protein and boiling water and allow to sit 5-10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
  2. Make burgers by pressing and placing 1/2 cup mixture in a nonstick, vegetable sprayed skillet over medium-low heat. Cover pan with a lid and cook until browned on both sides (approximately 8 minutes each side).
  3. Serve plain or topped with barbecue sauce or cheese; serve on a bun with lettuce and traditional burger fixings.
