Bob’s Red Mill’s “Portraits of Longevity” Contest Official Rules

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION: The Bob’s Red Mill “Portraits of Longevity” Contest (the “Contest”) begins at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) on May 1, 2019 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on May 31, 2019 (the “Contest Period”). The “Sponsor” of the Contest is Bob’s Red Mill, 3521 SE Pheasant Ct, Milwaukie, OR 97222.

Bob’s Red Mill “Portraits of Longevity” Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal U.S. residents, residing in any of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and residents of Canada, who are 18 years of age or older. Contest is void in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions outside of the 50 United States and where restricted or prohibited by law.

HOW TO ENTER: Visit https://www.bobsredmill.com/portraits-of-longevity/nominate to complete the “Portraits of Longevity” submission form, including a valid email address, to receive one (1) entry into the Contest. Alternatively, an email entry may be sent to [email protected]; one (1) entry per day. Entries posted or emailed after 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2019 will not be accepted.

One Entry per Day (24-hour period). Users may choose to nominate more than one person as a “Portrait of Longevity.” Multiple entries may result in improved chances of being awarded with a PRIZE, however, all submissions must be complete and unique in subject matter and submitted a minimum of 24 hours after a previous entry to be considered. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry and/or any other methods will void that entrant’s participation and that entrant may be disqualified from the Contest. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the submitted email address at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email account by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email accounts, or the domain associated with the submitted email account. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

Limit to one (1) prize per person and per household. At the end of the contest, a total of ten (10) contest winners will be selected – nine (9) PRIZE winners and one (1) GRAND PRIZE winner – from amongst all valid entries. Contest winners will be determined at the sole discretion of Bob’s Red Mill, the Sponsor, based on the quality of the content submitted via the entry form.

PRIZES: The Average Retail Value (ARV) of one (1) PRIZE is $350.00 U.S. Dollars (USD) and will include one (1) each of the following items: Bob Moore Bobble Head, Bob’s Red Mill Logo Mug, Logoed Apron, People Before Profit, Bob’s Red Mill Cookbook, Organic Quick Cooking Rolled Oats (Case of 4 – 32 oz Bags), Gluten Free Blueberry Hazelnut Oatmeal Cup (Case of 12 – 2.5 oz Cups), Organic Whole Wheat Flour (Case of 4 – 5 lb. Bags), Fruit and Seed Muesli (Case of 4 – 14 oz Bags), Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bob’s Better Bars (Case of 12 – 1.76 oz Bars) and a Bob’s Red Mill gift card valued at $150.00 USD. All the items included with the PRIZE will be awarded to the GRAND PRIZE winner. Additionally, GRAND PRIZE winner will be awarded with a $1,000 VISA Gift Card and an opportunity to tour Bob’s Red Mill’s production facility, if they so desire. Travel expenses to production facility are the responsibility of the GRAND PRIZE winner. The ARV of the GRAND PRIZE is $1,350.00. No PRIZE substitutions except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided herein. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a PRIZE of equal or greater value if PRIZE becomes unavailable due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor. PRIZE is not transferable prior to award. The value of the GRAND PRIZE may be taxable as income and the winner is solely responsible for any taxes on the PRIZE, including, but not limited to all applicable federal, state and local taxes if applicable. Additionally, Bob’s Red Mill will donate $10,000 USD to Meals on Wheels America in honor of the GRAND PRIZE winner’s winning entry. No more than the number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded. Winners will be notified by email by June 28, 2019.

GENERAL RULES OF PARTICIPATION: By participating in the Contest, all entrants and the winners release each and all of the Contest Entities from any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of participation in the Contest, and/or the receipt or use/misuse of the PRIZES awarded, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, death or property damage. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify from the Contest any entrant it believes has violated these Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws apply. In the event any portion of this Contest is compromised by activities beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest. Entering the Contest by completing the activity on https://www.bobsredmill.com/portraits-of-longevity/nominate constitutes permission for the Sponsor and the Contest Entities to use and reproduce participants’ names (first name and last initial) for purposes of advertising, promotion, publicity, consumer newsletters and social media channels (Facebook or Instagram and Twitter) without compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entries to the Contest (including any copyrights or other intellectual property rights therein) will become the property of the Sponsor and, should the Sponsor choose to use or reproduce this content for promotional purposes, entrant is not entitled to compensation or credit except as expressly set forth herein.

Neither the Sponsor nor any of the Contest Entities are responsible for lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete entries, whether due to system errors or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, human error/misprints or otherwise. The Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest or winning the PRIZES if, in its sole discretion, the Sponsor determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants, the Sponsor, or any of the Contest Entities. If for any reason the Contest is not able to be conducted as planned, including, but not limited to, by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, then the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select a winner from those entries received up to the cancellation/suspension date.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

NO LIABILITY: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and all Contest Entities and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims made by the winner, entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of the Contest as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any PRIZE or participation in any Contest -related activity or participation in the Contest.
