Made from whole grain soft white wheat that has been parboiled, dried and cracked, our medium grind (#2) bulgur is quick to prepare and can be reconstituted with hot water in a matter of minutes. A common ingredient in Tabbouleh, bulgur is a wonderful base for salads and pilafs. Use it to add crunch to breads and muffins or try it cooked as a hot cereal. I use it all the time
I stumbled across bulgur months ago and use of a lot. In place of rice, in salads, casseroles, all kinds of things. What a great product.

I make Tabboubleh salad every week! I don't care for mint in it so I make it with everything hand diced very tiny:
3 tomatoes, 1 green pepper, 1 bunch green onions, 1 bunch parsley, 1 cucumber, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 c oil and 1/2 c lemon juice, plus 1 1/2 c rinsed golden bulgar wheat. It will lay a week in the refrigerator. Everyone seems to love it!

My family prefers Golden Bulgur over Red Bulgur.
Golden Bulgur is no longer available in my community. It has been replaced with Red Bulgur. I much prefer Golden Bulgur to Red Bulgur. It has a wonderful nutty, crunchy texture unlike Red Bulgur which cooks up like porridge even though I follow the cooking instructions exactly. My family won't eat Red in salads any more. It's going into our morning porridge until all used up and then I'm not buying it again.

I make Tabbouleh using Bulgur OR Quinoa and I want to best ingredients possible. I get them here as they are hard to find where I live. If the stores carry these things, they are always out so I order on line.

I used to use the regular Bulgur (Red one) until I tried this Golden Bulgur. I will never buy the regular one again. This is so much better and tastes better as a Rice replacement.

BEST ANSWER: I use it instead of pilaf by sauteing onion and celery in butter first then adding bulgur to coat.
Stir in vegetable broth and simmer until done; adding your favorite herbs.
It will be more grainy than rice but with more flavor
