  1. Stove top cooking instructions: To please two hungry folks with a creamy hot breakfast cereal, bring 2 cups water and 1/4 tsp salt to a near boil. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 cup of Creamy Wheat Farina slowly, stirring constantly. Return to burner and bring to a boil, then lower heat and cook approximately 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  2. Single serving instructions: Bring 1 cup of water and a pinch of salt to a near boil. Remove from heat. Add 1/4 cup of Creamy Wheat Farina cereal slowly, stirring constantly. Return to burner and bring to a boil, then lower heat and cook approximately 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Makes about 3/4 cup.
  3. Microwave cooking instructions: Combine 1/4 cup cereal, 1 cup of water or milk, and a dash of salt (optional) in a microwaveable bowl. Cook on high (100% power) for 1 minute. Stir with a whisk. Cook 1 to 2 minutes more until cereal begins to thicken, whisking every 30 seconds. Serves one.

    If you want to double the recipe is it as simple as doubling the ingredients?

    If you wanted to use milk instead of water is it as simple as replacing milk with water or do you need to increase/decrease amount of milk?

      If you would like to double this recipe, you may simply double the ingredient amounts.

      To use milk in place of the water, use the same amount of milk as you would water.

      We currently do not have a recipe for a chocolate version of our Creamy Wheat Farina. However, you may add a small amount of cocoa powder during the cooking process.

    I read that it can be used for infants, how would I prepare that for a 6 month old who is breastfed?

      Hi Sara,
      We don’t make a cereal specific to an infants diet, so we don’t have any instructions for preparing our cereals for children under 2-3. I would suggest consulting with a doctor or nutritionist to see if this would be appropriate for your baby’s diet.
