  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. By hand or in a small chopper, chop pecans coarsely; set aside.
  4. In another bowl, blend butter, sugar, vanilla and water together. Beat eggs and add to butter mixture; stir flour mixture into egg and butter mixture; add cereal and all remaining ingredients; mix well.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Cookies should be soft in center and edges lightly brown.



    Yield 24 cookies.

    This recipe must be incorrect. I’m guessing it meant 1-1/2 sticks of butter (1cup). I tried with 1-1/2 cups and the cookies turned out more like pancakes.

      I have checked this customer submitted recipe for errors. It is correct in calling for 1-1/2 cups of softened butter.

    Please test yourself in your own test kitchen. Perhaps the submitter made an error. 1 1/2 cups of butter is 3 sticks. Way too much for other ingredients.
