Soy Flour is 100% whole bean flour from the best soy beans and contains all the nutritious fiber and oils. Soy is one of the few plant sources of complete protein with all the essential amino acids. Use Soy Flour to replace up to 30% of the usual flour in your recipes.

Bob's Red Mill Soy Flour is milled from premium quality organic whole raw soy beans. Our soy flour is nutty in flavor and high in protein, fiber and soy isoflavones. Adding it to your favorite cooked dishes is a tasty and simple way to take advantage of soy's bountiful nutrition.

Soy contains complete protein with all the amino acids essential to human nutrition. It is also good source of dietary fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus.

You can replace up to 30% of the flour in your recipe with soy flour or use it as a thickening agent in cooked dishes. Baked goods made with soy flour tend to brown more quickly, so it is best to use a recipe designed for soy flour or to keep a close eye on your baking when using it. Soy flour is also used to condition bread dough. Try adding one tablespoon for each cup of flour called for in your favorite bread recipe. You'll add nutrients and have a higher, lighter loaf. Really, just started using it, and finding new recipes. I also started using in old recipes instead of self rising flour, but had to use xanthan gum as a thickener for dressings, gravies, and sauces.

Bob's soy flour is great, and it's reasonably thrifty if you buy the case along with a bigger order. Soy flour has been my go to addition to yeast breads for about 45 years. If you use half or more white flour in baked goods because your family and friends like fluffy and not dense, then without anyone suspecting "healthy," you can add 2 Tbsp to 1/2 cup (depending on size of recipe), along with an equal portion of raw wheat germ and relax confidently if your kids run out the door having had time only to gobble down a piece of your homemade toast or muffin. Make sure, if your recipe doesn't include milk, to add in some of Bob's powdered milk too, for a full protein balance.

Great health benefits and delicious soy flour soup.
I make soup -- mix soy flour with water at pancake consistency. In a pan of boiling water, pour soy flour mix and then cook at low-medium heat for 10 - 15 minutes. Add salt, but make sure it does not boil over. Great source of protein and delicious. It was the way my mom used to cook from Jeju Island, Korea.

Soy flour acts as a natural preservative and I use it in all muffins, breads, quick breads, ect. I live in Arizona and breads mold easily so it extends the life of the bread by a lot and you can just let them stay on the counter. Otherwise, a few days and regular bread without soy in it molds right away. Just 1/4 to 1/3 cup in a two loaf recipe works wonders. RedMill is the best and I don't bake without it.
