Wheat Bran is the outer layer of the wheat kernel and an excellent source of dietary fiber. Simply add it to cereal, smoothies and baked goods to boost nutrition.

Details

Bob's Red Mill Unprocessed Miller's Wheat Bran is made by gently separating the protective outer layer of the wheat berry from the endosperm and oil-rich germ. Our unprocessed bran is an excellent source of fiber, and provides a healthy full-bodied texture when added to baked goods or sprinkled over soups, cereals or salads. Adding wheat bran to your diet, with its significant amount of dietary fiber, will help your body to feel satisfied and comfortably full for a longer period of time. Add wheat bran to hot cereals, cold cereals, smoothies, baked goods, casseroles and more. Wheat bran can also be used to replace some of the flour in muffins and cookies. Visit our recipe page for dozens of nutritious recipes using Wheat Bran. Store in the refrigerator or a vacuum-sealed container to preserve freshness. Bob's Red Mill Wheat Bran
For several years I have been mixing Bob's Red Mill Wheat Bran 1:4 with McCann's Steel Cut Oatmeal when I prepare it in the morning. The Bran Oatmeal combination is delicious and is very digestible.

This really takes some getting used to. We found it works best when added to another cereal and eaten cold.

Generally, a good product
Have used this product for years as it usually has less undesirable hulls and chaff in it though recent purchases were not quite up to their usual standards. Emailed the company and they unhesitatingly made good on it. Can't ask for better than that! Blends in nicely when stirred into soups, cereals and in baking. Makes awesome muffins

Better than Bran cereal!
I bought this bran to make raisin bran muffins. Most recipes use bran flakes or cereal but the best muffins I have made are those using the Bob's Red Mill bran. Great flavor and texture.

Wheat Bran is an excellent fiber.
We make cereal most mornings by adding 2/3 cup of Bob's Red Mill steel cut oats or thick rolled oats to 1 1/3rd cups of boiling water. When the selected oats have reached the desired softness I add 1/8th cup of Bob's Red Mill wheat bran at the end of cooking and serve immediately. We have found this combination a very good and healthy breakfast cereal.

Crazy that I can't find miller's bran in our various grocery stores....such a basic thing. We use bran in muffins, in dark rye bread, in yogurt and cereals, etc. As old timers used to say, in various ways, bran is like great "tiny little whisk brooms" inside you!
