Hazelnut Flour/Meal is made from whole hazelnuts grown in the Pacific Northwest. It's a Paleo-friendly, grain-free flour great for delectable, nutty baked goods. Try stirring Hazelnut meal in your hot cereals, breading chicken or fish with it, or adding it to your favorite smoothie.

Bob’s Red Mill Hazelnut Meal is ground from whole Oregon hazelnuts, or filberts. Hazelnuts are often overlooked for their nutritional value, but these healthy nuts provide a good amount of vitamin E and a healthy serving of monounsaturated fats in each 1/4 cup serving. Not only do hazelnuts have a healthy boost of protein, they are also very low in carbohydrates and naturally gluten free.

Did you know that adding hazelnut meal to your baking and cooking can bring the health benefits of hazelnuts to your diet, as well as cutting back on carbohydrate consumption? Replacing 30% of the flour in your baking with hazelnut meal will add wonderful texture and flavor while reducing the total carbohydrates. This makes it perfect for those following a low carbohydrate or paleo diet. Hazelnut meal is produced in our gluten free facility, making it an ideal addition to a gluten free diet.

In addition to low carbohydrate baking, hazelnut meal is wonderful for use in pastries, pie crusts, cakes, cookies, pancakes and quick breads. Hazelnut meal will bring a rich, buttery flavor to your baking while adding an enticing aroma that can only come from high quality hazelnuts. Hazelnut meal can be used in savory applications, as well. Use hazelnut meal in place of bread crumbs in meatballs, or as a coating for chicken and fish.

Nice addition to alternative baking flours
Hazelnut adds a nice moistness and texture to the chocolate cookies we made. Used our own gluten free flour mix with this, along with some tapioca flour and a few other ingredients. Worked very well.

This flour I CAN HAPPILY EAT!
After having a colonoscopy the Dr. said "NO MORE NUTS FOR YOU because you have diverticulosis". Okay I said-- but knew I would miss eating almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts ETC. ..But time passed and I found this great flour! Now I can have the health benefits of nuts via nut flour... such as this great product of hazelnut flour, which is ground as fine as regular baking flour. In our home nut breads and muffins are enjoyed regularly! If you are like me and have problems with chunky or whole nuts please give the hazelnut flour a try, use it just like regular baking flour, you'll be in for real treat.

I’ve been replacing 1/4c of flour in my pancakes with the hazelnut flour. So good! My only complaint is it doesn’t taste as fresh as it could. It wasn’t rancid but maybe a just tiny bit stale tasting when I tried it on its own. Maybe that just happens when it gets ground up. It tasted great once mixed into a baked good and cooked. I’m going to mix a little into some carrot muffins next.
