Montclair Diner has been a community staple in Upper Montclair, NJ since 1923. In May 2019, Eliot Mosby, a previous Operations and Supply Chain Executive & a native of Chicago, IL, acquired the Montclair Diner and brought on Executive Chef Gus Moya as a minority share partner. Under new leadership, Montclair Diner has expanded their customer base and has been able to maintain their family "hometown feel' by not only offering the traditional diner classics but also many of their "NEW" eclectic menu items like the Yummy French Toast (featuring Seasonal Flavors like Berry Berry, Cheesecake Cream, Lemon Curd & Tres Leches), Southern Style Shrimp & Grits and also Chicken & Bacon Infused Waffles. Despite being financially devastated by COVID-19, Montclair Diner made it their mission to continue to stay open to support not only their community frontline workers & families struggling with $0 income, but specifically those in Black & Brown communities like Newark, NJ, East Orange, NJ, Paterson, NJ & Brooklyn, NY. Everyday continues to be a fight, but Montclair Diner are SURVIVORS.
