Organic Coconut Flour is a delicious, healthy alternative flour that can be used to replace up to 20% of the flour called for in a recipe. This high fiber flour is a terrific ingredient for gluten free, grain free and low carb baking.

Details

Organic coconut flour is a delicious, healthy alternative to wheat and other grain flours. Ground from dried, defatted coconut meat, coconut flour is high in fiber and low in digestible carbohydrates. A single 2 Tbsp serving of coconut flour delivers 5 grams of fiber with only 8 grams of carbs. This makes it ideal for those following the paleo diet or who need to be carb conscious for their health. Coconut flour is also gluten free and produced in our gluten free facility where it is batch tested using the R5 ELISA Gluten Assay.

The light coconut flavor allows coconut flour to blend seamlessly into sweet or savory baked goods. It makes a wonderful coating for chicken, fish or other proteins in place of regular flour or cornmeal. Because of its high fiber content, baking with coconut flour is a unique experience. Coconut flour requires an equal ratio of liquid to flour for best results. Coconut flour can replace up to 20% of the flour in a recipe, but you will need to add an equal amount of liquid to compensate. We recommend following a recipe designed for coconut flour when getting started. Luckily, we have many recipes to experiment with in our recipe section. Buy our coconut flour today and start baking with one of the many recipes on our site.

Coconut flour is unsweetened and does not contain added sulfites. It is not considered raw. We recommend storing coconut flour in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer to keep it fresh after opening.

Organic Coconut Flour
Organic coconut flour can be used in any recipe. I have had great flavor, and consistency with my recipes. Not a strong taste but just enough to give it flavor.

The smell is heavenly.
Adds flavor to every baking project. I find the smell intoxicating. Love using it ... about 1/2 cup in regular flour replacement. Especially delicious as part of flour coating for fish.

Coconut is very healthy!
Did you know that the coconut water or juice was used as plasma in the Philippines by both the Japanese and Americans?
It has same properties as plasma.

Great quality coconut flour!
Although I'm not gluten free, I like to experiment with some gluten free recipes and the Bob's Red Mill coconut flour is really good quality!
It has a mild coconut flour flavor. It yields fluffy delicious pancakes and bakes wonderfully (in the right mix of ingredients). I also eat it raw, in gluten-free inspired cookie dough recipe. When cooking with it I recommend patience to get the right consistency, adding water/liquid bit by bit; it absorbs tons of liquid but it takes a minute or two.
The new resealable package is convenient, but I still store it in an airtight container.

coconut and almond flour cookies
I combines these two flours to result in delicious cookies. Combined, they blended to get a mild, yet precise flavor i was hoping to obtain. For the most part, the key is to refrigerate dough overnight. When ready, roll out between two pieces of parchment paper for best way to handle.

Love this stuff!
This is one of my favorite ways to bake with a combination of whole wheat flour and coconuts flour. The bakery comes out more moist and lighter than when I use just the ww flour.

What’s the shelf life?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This product is best kept in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, preferably the fridge or freezer. It will keep up to 12 months when stored properly.
Can you mix it with yogurt to eat & get more daily grams of fiber?
A shopper on Mar 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This is not something we've tested. If you do, please let us know your results!
Is the coconut sweetened? Or is there no sugar at all in this ??
A shopper on Mar 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, the Organic Coconut Flour is not sweetened; there is no additional sugar added to this flour.
Is the organic coconut flour processed on the same equipment that makes nut flours (almond etc)? I would love to use it but have allergen concerns.
A shopper on Nov 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thanks for asking about this. Since this product is packaged in our Gluten Free Facility, it could potentially share the same packaging lines as our Almond Flour or any other product also labeled as Gluten Free. We clean our machinery thoroughly with high pressure air and vacuums between each change in product, as well discard the first 15-25lbs before retail packaging begins. Despite these precautions, we are unable to guarantee that cross-contact has not occurred because of air borne and proximity issues.
Have diabetic husband who must watch potassium intake. How much is in 1 cup of coconut flour?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There is not a significant amount of potassium per serving of this product so we do not have the exact number noted.
