Nothing starts a warm day off better than a delicious, cold smoothie. And it’s even better when it’s flavored with chocolate and loaded with filling protein!

Who doesn’t like chocolate for breakfast? Or for lunch and dinner, if it comes down to it? But just plain chocolate can get boring fast, so here are some ideas to spice things up and make your next chocolate smoothie filling and fabulous.

Almond Mocha Smoothie

This almond and mocha smoothie is loaded with fiber as well as protein and contains 240mg of omega-3 fatty acids in every serving. Plus, it’s high in iron, vegan-friendly, and only takes about five minutes to make.

This smoothie uses a base of vanilla almond milk combined with our Whey Protein Powder and a couple teaspoons of instant coffee powder.

Throw in a banana and a handful of ice cubes, and blend until it’s smooth and creamy. Then pour into your favorite tall glass and serve! If you want to make it fancy, you can add a sprinkle of chocolate or coffee powder on top, along with a few slivers of almonds.

Neapolitan Smoothie

This is another fun and tasty smoothie even the kids will love. It’s loaded with protein thanks to a vegan protein powder like our Almond Protein Powder, and it’s also rich in fiber, iron, and those healthy omega-3s our body needs to function optimally. Plus, it’s grain free, gluten free, and soy free. What’s not to love?

This smoothie blends our protein powder with milk and vanilla yogurt, plus fresh or frozen strawberries for a twist. Toss in your ice cubes and blend until smooth and creamy. You can garnish with some thinly sliced strawberries and a drizzle of your favorite chocolate syrup if you want to pretty it up.

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

What could be better than peanut butter and bananas? Nothing less than peanut butter, bananas, and chocolate! This smoothie is made with a vegan protein powder like our Almond Protein Powder, plus milk, peanut butter, and extra-ripe bananas.

It’s loaded with fiber and iron, and it’s gluten, grain and soy free. Like the other smoothies, it only takes five minutes to prepare: just throw in your ingredients plus ice cubes, and blend away. You can garnish this smoothie with thin slices of banana to make it extra special.

Magic Mint Smoothie

But sometimes, peanut butter just doesn’t do the job and you want something different. That’s the day you have to try this Magic Mint Smoothie. It’s like eating one of those little mint chocolate bars that are always left on the pillow in hotels. Except you drink it instead!

And because of our Hemp Protein Powder, it’s packed full of fiber and protein, offering 240 mg of omega-3s, and is a rich source of iron.

Plus, it sneaks in some veggies with the fresh spinach, but shh . . . no one will ever know! Just blend your powder and spinach with milk, fresh mint, and a handful of ice cubes, then serve and enjoy!

Doctor’s Orders Chocolate Smoothie

The best part about this smoothie is that it’s got blueberries! Okay, yes, the chocolate protein powder is good, too. And pomegranate juice just adds that little “something extra” that makes it over-the-top delicious.

Simply blend all three ingredients with plain Greek yogurt and as much ice as you like until the consistency is creamy and smooth. You can use fresh or frozen blueberries depending on your preference and add as much or as little as you want.

There’s really no wrong or right way to make this smoothie, it all boils down to taste. Pour it in a tall glass and garnish it with something pretty, like orange slices or perhaps a small wedge of melon. Serve and enjoy!

As you can see, there are numerous ways to make a protein-laden, fiber-rich, chocolate smoothie when you use our Chocolate Protein Powder Nutritional Booster as your starting point.

You can blend it with a variety of things like Greek yogurt and fruit juices, as well as different fruits to combine different flavors. Experiment a bit and see what you come up with!
