I just bought a bag from my grocery store and it has weevils in it. I've never had this problem before. It was still in date.

I have had 2 bags of ground flaxseed from your company now and both were completely rancid and way before the expiration date. They smelled so terrible. I have used them for egg replacements because they were before the expiration date and didn’t know flaxseeds could be bad. We never got sick from them, but our farts were equally as ghastly. I just threw out the entire bag.

Just made 44 cookies using 1/4 cup of flaxseed. Didn't notice I used wrong bag of flaxseed that expired 11/2017. Will I get sick if I eat them or throw them out.

We recommend using our products by the "best by" date on the package. However, if the flax has gone rancid, strong odors may be present, which can be very sharp or pungent, similar to nail polish remover, or may have a fishy or bitter smell or flavor.

I have the original sealed bag the organic Flaxseed Meal came in, and it has been refrigerated. The date on the package says 10/26/2024. It smells fine. Can I still use it, and if so for how long?

I just pulled a bag of flaxseed meal off my shelf in my cold room and realized it just expired last month... would it be safe to use if it doesn't smell fishy?

I have checked my Bob’s package of flaxseed meal and there is no expiration date anywhere on the package. I am sure it is more than one year old, but I have no idea how old it is because of the expiration date. Should I throw it out? And why is there no expiration date on my package?

They are my go-to egg, substitute in breads and desserts and they really help in gluten free flour. They help coconut flour be better for baking. And of course sprouts. Chia Garcia. The beard and hair really grow..Experiment. another super food to enjoy.
I made crackers with my flaxseed meal using the recipe in the back of the package but they taste bitter. The best by date is August 2026.
