Hummus with Garbanzo Bean FlourContributed by: Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods
Directions
Bring 2-1/2 cups water to boiling on medium heat. Whisk the garbanzo bean flour into the boiling water. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Turn heat down to medium low and continue cooking 5 minutes. Let cool.
I the bowl of a food processor, puree the garbanzo mixture, garlic, broth, tahini, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce until smooth. Then add the cumin, salt, pepper and slowly pour the olive oil through the feed tube of the processor. If mixture is too stiff, add more broth to get desired consistency. Spoon and scrape the mixture into a bowl, cover with plastic and let sit for at least one hour at room temperature. Taste to see if more lemon juice, salt or pepper is needed. Makes 6 servings. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

We couldn\'t make enough of this hummus recipe to keep up with the demand at our house. Please put this recipe back on the packages so it\'s handy and everyone can make it. It costs pennies compared to the store bought. :)

No shortcuts on the cooking time. I added more cummin and used chicken broth rather than vegetable broth, blender rather than food processor and we devoured it! I will definately make this again. Smoother and not grainy like the whole garbanzo recipes.
