Basic Cooking Instructions for Amaranth

These instructions are printed on the label of Organic Amaranth Grain. High in Iron! Whole Grain! Gluten Free, High Fiber, Lactose Free, Low Fat, Low Sugar, Organic, Soy Free, Vegan. Net Carbs = 27g.


Add 1 cup Amaranth to 3 cups boiling water or stock. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low and let simmer until water is absorbed, about 20 minutes.

Cooked Yield: 2 cups.

Makes 4 servings.

Use immediatly, or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
