Banana Nut Pancakes

This recipe is a favorite here at the mill and appears on our Whole Wheat Farina label. Low Cal, Low Carb, Low Sugar.

Directions

Step 1

In medium bowl, combine cereal, flour, sugar and baking powder; set aside.

Step 2

In small bowl, combine milk, egg, margarine and mashed banana. Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just blended. (Batter will be slightly lumpy.) Let stand 10 minutes; stir in walnuts.

Step 3

Heat lightly greased griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Pour scant 1/3 cup batter onto griddle or skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbly, turn and cook until done. Serve immediately, top with sliced bananas and syrup if desired.

Makes 12 pancakes.
