  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 8 X 8-inch baking dish and line with wax paper.

    In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar with eggs, oil, and vanilla. Beat moist ingredients into dry until well mixed. Bake approximately 25 minutes or until center is done.

    May add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, coconut or other nuts if desired.

    Makes 16 brownies.
