Monster Cookies (Nevada)

Monster Cookies are everything you want in a cookie and more. These cookies are loaded with bright colorful chocolate candies, chocolate chips, peanut butter and oats. What more could you ask for in a cookie? When I made these last week, they instantly reminded me of the Las Vegas strip. With all the bright colors and everything going on in these cookies, they’re like the strip at night.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Using your hand or stand mixer, add the butter and both sugars. Mix until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add in peanut butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until eggs are incorporated and everything is mixed well.
  4. In a medium bowl, add the baking soda, flour, cinnamon and oats. Stir to mix ingredients together.
  5. With your stand or hand mixer on a low speed, slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until just incorporated.
  6. Stir in candy-coated milk chocolate pieces and chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Place the cookie sheet on a hot pot and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Place cookies on a wire rack and let cool.
Recipe Notes

      Hi Kirsten,
Peanut butter is a significant ingredient in this recipe and we would not recommend omitting it unless you replace it with another nut butter or similar.

Made these exactly according to the recipe today – my third cookie from the USOC challenge. Definitely my favorite so far (others I’ve tried were VT and MD). The recipe only yielded two dozen cookies for me, but I made them fairly large. I’d make these again.
