Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine wheat bran, flour, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in nuts and raisins.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend applesauce, milk, molasses, oil and egg. Add to dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
  4. Spoon into greased muffin tin (or paper muffin cups) and bake for 15-20 minutes.



    Makes 12 marvelous muffins.

    These muffins are delicious and so healthy! They have the flavor of a true bran muffin. I make a double batch and freeze them in a plastic zipper bag. Each morning I pop one in the microwave for 30 seconds, and top the warm muffin with a squeeze of honey.
    (I would also like the nutrition facts, please.)

    In addition to – I let the liquid sit for a bit to break down the Fibre One cereal – they are baking in the oven and I will try one and get back to you.
