  1. Sift together dry ingredients into a bowl.



    Add egg, milk and butter. Beat until smooth, about one minute. Do not overbeat.



    Preheat oven to 425°. Bake in a greased 8-inch square pan for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with butter and a beaming smile.



    Makes 9 servings.

      Hi Paul,
      If you’re adding corn kernels, we may suggest adding up to 3/4 cups to the dry ingredients and mix as directed. You can also add about 1/2 cup of creamed corn if you prefer but you may have to adjust the flour slightly if the batter is too runny.
