  1. Soak beans overnight or heat in 4 cups water, cover and boil 2 minutes. Turn off heat and let stand for one hour. Drain beans.
  2. Add all ingredients to beans except salt, pepper and wine vinegar. Cover and simmer for two hours or until beans are tender.
  3. Add salt, pepper and red wine vinegar to taste. Bring to a simmer, heat through and let stand.
Recipe Notes

As a variation, serve over cooked brown or white rice.

    Made this from the recipe on the bag. I used vegetable stock instead of chicken stock. Simple ingredients, yet this was so delicious.
