This was my first try at using applesauce instead of butter for baking. I had a little trouble getting the cookies off a “lightly greased” baking sheet. My daughter suggested parchment paper or a baking mat. I haven’t tried that yet. When still very warm I could smell and taste the applesauce, but after they cooled a bit they tasted more like cookies.

I’ve made this recipes many times and they are always delicious, but they are also always verrrrry sticky/mushy. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

I made these cookies and the batter was as thin as cake batter. There is no way I can drop them by teaspoon on a baking, they just run evertywhere. Do they need more flour? Suggestions please.

      Hi Eliza,
You may need to add a bit more flour- up to 1/4 cup should help the cookies have a bit more structure.
