Can I use walnuts or almonds instead, or even cashew milk? I don’t have any cashews on hand unfortunately.

      Hi Sarah,
Cashews are used in these many of these types of recipes because they are high in fats which will produce a creamy texture, as well as impart a nice mildly sweet flavor. Using other nuts may not give you the same results. Blanched almonds may be a good alternative, though we haven’t tried this substitution. We would suggest using the same amount and soaking them for a few hours or overnight if possible.
