I thought it seemed like an awful lot of water vs. rice, and after following the instructions exactly, turns out I was right. The rice was water-logged and mushy. Basically oatmeal. Very disappointed. 🙁

      Hi Briana,
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with this rice blend, but thank you for letting us know. The water to rice ratio is what we’ve had the best results with in our test kitchen, but you may try reducing the water by 1/4-1/2 cup next time you follow this recipe. If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to follow up with us at 1-800-349-2173, or email us at customerservice@bobsredmill.com.

Your test kitchen must be run by magical unicorns, because this water to rice ratio is waaaaaaaaaaay off.

Currently attempting 2:1 water to rice, with plans to check every 15 minutes to make sure it has enough liquid. Honestly should have started with a 1.5:1 ratio and worked my way up..that may be next time if this doesn’t work.

      Hi Aj,
Thank you for your comment. We can assure you that there are no magical unicorns in our building, but we appreciate the feedback!
